A gentle warning for those with pet allergies:
We do have a small dog and 3 cats on the premises. They are not allowed in guest rooms, but may be found in shared guest areas. They are very friendly, and essential members of our team. The dog keeps the numerous wild-ish Port Townsend deer out of the garden. The cats are ever vigilant in keeping vermin out of our historic home.
~Sorry we do not allow other animals of any kind on the premises~
In our quest to restore the house back to it's original glory, we endeavor to recover as many of the Starrett Family's original furnishings and fixtures as possible. If you know of any original Starrett House family possessions please contact us!
Sometime in the 1970's the original Newel Post Candelabra Light was removed from the house, along with many other original light fixtures. We would be delighted to re-mount it where it belongs on The Starretts magnificent newel post at the base of the grand staircase.
The original newel post light. Please contact us if you have any information on its whereabouts!
Experience Port Townsend's most beautiful Victorian residence, much as it was in 1889. The elegance of a bygone era joined with modern comforts and technology.
