Ascend the free-floating spiral staircase to arrive at The Nursery bedroom. Originally occupied by The Starrett's only child Edwin, The Nursery offers a stately queen 4-poster bed, two large windows, and an antique armoire in the room. It has a European-style private bath with a tiled shower and antique pedestal sink just outside the door in the hall. It boasts modest water views and a cozy sense of history. The tranquil hues of blue and cream with the contrasting gold trim invite you to relax, while experiencing the sense of a charmed Victorian childhood.
This house is incredible, more-so than pictures could ever convey. Our stay was even better than I dreamed, and we'll be booking again when family are in town. It's completely unique and a history buff's dream. Stay here!

It isn’t a stretch to say this place is amazing, especially for anyone interested in architecture and history. Our stay was perfect. Really! This house is simply amazing, and the hosts are awesome. Upon arrival we got a tour with history and background of the house and the area. The location is centrally locates a short walk to Port Townsend’s historic downtown district, and a couple blocks from the center of uptown. Walking to just about anywhere is a breeze, and the house is a true gem in this historic neighborhood. And the rooms are beautiful with very comfortable beds. Simply an incredible stay. If you visit Port Townsend you should definitely stay here!

You want to stay here! The hosts will greet you, give a house tour and answer (very patiently) any questions. She is a native to PT and knows both the homes history and the areas. The accommodations are top notch and super clean. I can imagine the house being a wonderful place to stay much longer than we did. It's super comfortable and has many spaces for reading a book, having a glass of wine or taking a moment to just sit and relax. Easy walks to up and downtown. I look forward to returning!
